music inspired by The Space Trilogy

The Ransom Series by Natalie Romano
Glass Hammer is a progressive rock band that draw a lot of influence from fantasy literature, primarily C.S. Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien. Their 1995 album, Perelandra, is a concept album built around the story elements of the whole Space Trilogy.

King-X's song called Out of the Silent Planet was named after their debut album which was named after the book.

Iron Maiden released a song called Out of the Silent Planet off their album, Brave New World, though they said the song is more inspired by The Forbidden Planet than Lewis' book of the same name.

The post-hardcore band Thrice supposedly that their song That Hideous Strength but the lyrics don't seem to have anything to do with the book.

Dragging the Mule was associated with Skinny Puppy and Nine Inch Nails has an album called That Hideous Strength, but it seems to have no relation to the book beyond name.
