Samurai Jack
I think Samurai Jack is more of a study in cinematography. The animation is so simple, but if you could project what it would look like as a live action, there are few cartoons with the same artistic sense. When you can find a show that holds this type of "camera work" AND has enjoyable story telling with sci-fi and ancient martial weapons, you can't go wrong.

Did someone say Samurai Jack? You mean that badass cartoon where a samurai fights evil and is thrown forward in time? Yes, we did, and it looks like Samurai Jack will be coming to the big screen and IMDB has it tentatively set for 2011. The "2D/stereoscopic 3D production" will be written and directed by series creator Genndy Tartakovsky. To boot, it's being developed at Paramount Pictures with Bad Robot and it looks like JJ Abrams will be a co-producer.
Don't know what you're missing? You can watch the intro and a cool clip after the break. via Wild Grounds and Frederator.
