Atari Force

Atari Force is a comic that baffles me. I've never read it, don't even remember it back in the day. But I have come across it in clearance bins, etc. where it seems perfectly fit place to find such a title. Yet, I keep reading here and there how wonderful a series it was and I see it on people's lists of favorite comics. Did I miss something. Should I be picking up the $.25 copies and enjoying good or (dare I say) quality comic books?
