Trader of Stories: A Grain of Truth
Marek Rudowski is back with another fantastical and soothing point and click adventure- A Grain of Truth continues the adventures of the mysterious Myosotis as she and her large reptilian pet, Zephyr, travel around the mysterious and mystical land collecting stories and tales.
This is a virtual and living gallery of wonderful art and stunning visuals. An interactive comic book of sorts, just like the first game. This is the second free online game set in the fantasy world of The Big Old Tree that Dreamed. There is a little more about Myosotis' back story and a lot left to be revealed in future installments, so it seems.
This sequel is more mature in the art quality and the game is longer. The gameplay mechanics are cleaned up and very easy. The puzzles are not too difficult, but also, not insultingly easy. There is an interesting spin on the point and click collecting of inventory of items. While there is that aspect, you also hold an inventory of words that are later used in an Ad-Libs fill in the blank kind of technique of puzzles. Very innovative and cleanly presented. This game is wonderful and I can't wait to see more in this series.
Throughout the game there is a relaxing soundtrack provided by Sergiu Muresan (this information was provided by one of the characters when you have an opportunity to ask about it!)
If you somehow missed the first game, find out more about that one here.
